Low Cement Castables
Significantly enhances strength at high temperatures
Application
In melting equipment (such as aluminum melting furnaces), as well as in various heat treatment furnaces, including heating furnaces and soaking furnaces.
Description
Low-cement and ultra-low-cement castables are characterized by small pore size, high density, good volume stability, high strength, and low water demand. They overcome the significant strength reduction typical of conventional castables in the 800–1200°C range, demonstrating increased strength with rising temperature, as well as excellent thermal shock resistance, slag corrosion resistance, and chemical attack resistance.
